History of the Shop

That Game Place has been serving the Lemoyne/ New Cumberland/ Harrisburg area for nearly three years as one of the few remaining exclusively "Game Stores" in the area. We have been hosting regular gaming at least three nights a week and along with M. Foner we presented a general Gaming Convention in November 2009. Please check our Calendar of events for upcoming events at the shop.

"M. Foner's Games Only Emporium" was a regular stop for gamers in the New Cumberland/ Lemoyne/ Harrisburg area for the past 25 years. Charlie, the owner of That Game Place, was a customer of Mr. Foner's for about 20 years. When Mr. Foner decided to enter semi-retirement, he sold the store to Charlie. Thus was born "That Game Place."

Don't worry, Mr. Foner will still be involved in the Gaming Industry. He is currently designing new games, teaching classes in game design, and he has promised to be a resource to help That Game Place.

Our Vision

Our goal for That Game Place is that it will provide a place where all gamers can walk in and find a product, information about a product, or game related news that they are looking for. In the future we are looking to expand on new ideas in gaming, while keeping a firm grip on our roots: the 'traditional/timeless' games.

As Charlie is often quoted: Games should allow you to spend time WITH your Family and Friends, not just in proximity to them.
